2 /LOMBARDPARKS W E L C O M E DEAR RESIDENTS, While we're still experiencing cold days and nights, Lilac Time will be here before you know it! This yearly, much anticipated event will start on May 1 and conclude on May 17 with the Lilac Parade. The Park District will host the Little Lady Lilac Ball, a concert following the Lilac Queen coronation, a Mother's Day concert in Lilacia Park, our yearly plant sale and much more! Explore the Lilac Time schedule of events located in the center of this activity guide or visit us online at LombardLilacTime. com. We hope you find some time to check out Lilacia Park during its most beautiful time of year. Spring also offers many special events and programs for everyone to enjoy. Our annual Egg Hunt sponsored by the Lombard Lions Club will be held on April 4. Round out your afternoon following the egg hunt to have Lunch with the Bunny. Pre-registration is required for the luncheon. Your child will love Take Time for Tots Day, a FREE event held on March 21 at Sunset Knoll Recreation Center. They'll delight in a morning of arts and crafts, storytelling, pony rides, bounce houses, balloon animals and so much more! Paradise Bay Water Park is scheduled to open on May 23! Visit this state-of-the-art water park that offers spectacular water fun for all ages. Your little ones can enjoy Turtle Cove, featuring water amenities just their size. Feeling brave? Try each of our four water slides! Residents can save big by purchasing passes during early bird registration, now through May 11. Visit pages 10-11 for important pool details. The Madison Meadow Athletic Center can help you start an exercise program or keep your current routine going strong. Whether you are motivated by group fitness classes or are seeking a personal trainer create a custom workout plan just for you, pages 50-55 will help you discover a fitness program perfectly tailored for your lifestyle. The Board of Park Commissioners thanks you for your continued support and encourages your input and participation by attending our regular board meetings, which are held the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm at Sunset Knoll Recreation Center.
