JUNIOR LIFEGUARD
(Ages 10-15)
This class is designed for all those future lifeguards who can't wait to begin learning their guarding skills. To participate in this class you must be able to swim the
length of the pool (25 yards) and be willing to work on going to the bottom of the
diving well. Participants will spend one week learning a new aspect of lifeguarding
including: surface and deep water rescues, Heimlich in the water, rescue breathing, CPR, first aid, and proper scanning techniques. Participants will have some
practical experience working with an on-duty lifeguard and helping out in a swim
lesson class. Participants must complete four hours shadowing.

This class will instruct and inform teens of the seriousness of watching young
children around the water, and will include general information about helping
children become comfortable and feel safe around water. This class will include
specific information about safety issues pertaining to PBW and is mandatory for
all Mother's Helpers who wish to attend PBW during Parent/Tot Swim Time.

The dive well is available for adults only on Monday-Saturday with pool pass or paid admission from 11:00-11:30 am. NEW time; Monday through Friday mornings 7:00-8:00 am.
PARENT & TOT SWIM TIME
Ages 5 and under with a parent/guardian age 18 and up
Parents and tots can enjoy the enclosed tot pool in the morning when it is available for
unstructured swim time, Monday through Saturday from 9:30-11:00 am with pool pass or
daily fee. Each program fee includes admission for one adult and two tots. There is no fee
for pool pass holders.
