2 /LOMBARDPARKS W E L C O M E DEAR RESIDENTS, Lombard Park District continues to closely follow the Restore Illinois Plan to reopen many of our amenities. We are excited to provide residents with both at-home and in-person programming opportunities under the Phase 4: Revitalization guidelines. Many of our outdoor recreational opportunities have reopened over the summer including playgrounds, basketball courts, disc golf courses, garden plots, skate park and more. We encourage our residents to continue to follow social distancing measures and safety protocols while visiting us. Due to the fluid conditions, the 2020 Autumn Activity Guide will not be delivered to homes. Instead, to provide residents with the most accurate and up-to-date information, the activity guide will be available online-only at lombardparks.com. Updates will be made regularly as we receive further guidance on programming. New information will be communicated via email and/or on our social media accounts. We encourage residents to subscribe to our e-newsletter and check our website periodically to stay informed on the status of future activities, special events, programs and important facility news. Madison Meadow Athletic Center reopened its doors on Monday, June 29. Members and staff were excited to be back at the MMAC. Staff worked hard and continues to take extensive safety measures. We encourage you to check out our website for further updates. We are extremely grateful to have the beautiful 9-hole Lombard Golf Course open for summer and into the autumn months. The course will continue to offer the mid day special and new free youth special into the fall. See page 13 of this guide for more information and visit our website, lombardgolfcourse.com for specials, green fees and to book tee times. The Board of Commissioners thanks you for your continued support, patience and understanding during this challenging time. We love any feedback or suggestions from you by joining our board meetings that are held on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 6:30 pm at Sunset Knoll Recreation Center, 820 S Finley Road. All are invited to attend. Sincerely, Jim Scalzo, President Board of Park Commissioners Lombard Park District The mission of the Lombard Park District is to provide people with quality recreation opportunities to enjoy life.
