Courses devote time to design application with small projects like greeting cards, stationary, paper painting, and writing in color. See the beautiful decorations while yuletide music fills the air. Enjoy a late lunch/ dinner at Lawry's The Prime Rib, a Chicago restaurant legend. The restaurant, located in the old McCormick Mansion, will be magnificently decorated for the holidays, affording an unforgettable dining experience. This course provides the opportunity both to learn sign language and communicate with it. Our certified deaf education instructor will teach basic signs and phrases like "good job," or "you're welcome," and ultimately help you communicate with someone who is deaf or hard of hearing. Please note: students must purchase "The American Sign Language Phrase Book" by Lou Fant and Barbara Bernstein Fant by the start of class.
