martial arts Illinois Shotokan Karate Club Instructor: Shotokan Karate Club Staff Location: Sunset Knoll Recreation Center program manager Jake Pawlak jpawlak@lombardparks.com Illinois shotokan karate club classes Pre-Karate (Ages 4-7): Pre-Karate classes work on flexibility, strength and coordination in fun, yet disciplined activities. This program is specifically designed for growing minds and bodies to enhance memory and agility. Watch your child's confidence blossom and their skills improve. Youth/Adult Karate (Ages 7+): These classes release tension, develop total body fitness, and build stamina and overall productivity! In addition to self-defense skills, karate increases flexibility, cardiovascular endurance and muscle tone, while improving core strength. Parent/Child Karate (Ages 15+): Parent/Child classes are a great way to spend quality time with your child, condition your muscles, develop coordination and improve your cardiovascular fitness. Please note: fees are per person. Illinois shotokan karate club at a glance Illinois Shotokan Karate Club is Chicagoland's premier karate school taught under the instruction of John DiPasquale, a four-time National Champion, US National Coach and President of the US National Karate Federation. ISKC's karate classes help develop flexibility, strength and coordination in fun, yet disciplined activities. This program offers a good mix of strength training, with cardiovascular and flexibility exercises that increase their coordination, agility and safety skills. They learn the choreographed moves of the kata. Please note: uniforms and belt testing are options available through the ISKC instructor. Beginner students will not be permitted to register for the current session after the second class has met. Registration for continuers through advanced students will be accepted after the start date, but the full class fee is required. Parent/Child and Youth/Adult classes may train together. Uniforms can be purchased through the instructor, $30 for youth and $35 for adult. Parents can participate with their enrolled children for no additional charge.
