There are a variety of activities and amenities available within the park system. Visit Lombard Common's new playground, play tennis at the courts in Lombard Common, take a walk on the paved paths in Madison Meadow, or go fishing in the pond at Four Seasons. For a map of the parks and a list of amenities, visit page 74. Paradise Bay Water Park opens on May 30, weather permitting. The Water Park staff has been gearing up for a fun summer full of open swim, swim lessons, special events, and a variety of programs. Pool Passes are on sale and the resident early bird rate ends on May 16. Residents have the opportunity to buy early and save! Paradise Bay features a pool for all ages. The zero-depth leisure pool is perfect for the kids and families looking for a place to cool off with spouts, fountains, and water sprays. This pool is also host to a body slide, bowl slide, and speed slide. The tot pool has a depth and slide made especially for the young visitors. This fenced in area is the perfect place to get your little one accustomed to swimming. The dive well houses 1-meter and 3-meter diving boards, as well as a drop slide. The lap pool is a great place to swim laps, play water basketball or volleyball, or just enjoy the water! For rates and hours, visit www.lombardparks.com or page 12. Western Acres Golf Course, home to nine holes of golf and 18 holes of FootGolf, is the perfect morning or afternoon getaway. The par 35 course features sand traps, water holes, and other challenges, but is also a great course for the new or recreational golfer with gently sloping greens. Western Acres staff provides group and/or private lessons, Sticks for Kids, and a variety of special events. Check out FootGolf Frenzy on Saturday, August 1. It's a new special event for all ages featuring 18 holes of glow-in-the-dark FootGolf and a BBQ. Visit page 11 for details. Summer Day Camp staff is preparing field trips, theme days, swim days, games, and activities for this summer! Camp begins June 8 with a variety of options for your kids, ages 3-14.
