activity guide summer 2015 COLORED PENCIL (Ages 16+) Learn to color your drawings using colored pencils. Basic colored pencil techniques will be introduced, including layering, color theory, and blending as well as issues such as brands, paper choice, and subject matter will be discussed. Students are encouraged to come to class with proposed projects and questions! All student levels are encouraged! We will explore different techniques (i.e. wet on wet vs. wet on dry, and use of salt) as well as delve into art theory (i.e. color theory and composition). Students are to bring their own paint brushes - at least 3 different sizes are recommended, and a natural sponge. All other materials will be provided.
