LITTLE GUITAR PICKERS
(Ages 5-8)
This patient, experienced instructor will teach fun songs that use one-finger
chords to enable your child to achieve a measurable success and perform a
song for you by the end of each lesson. Imagine the joy and self confidence
this will bolster! Sheet music for each song is included. Authentic and pleasant
sounding child-sized guitars with carrying case are provided for a $10 rental
fee per session. Optional practice CD's are available from the instructor for
$10 each. No refunds will be issued after the first class.

PIANO INSTRUCTION
(Ages 7-17)
Piano lessons offer one-on-one instruction that will include piano theory,
piano technique, and sight reading. Levels range from beginners to advanced
players and participants will learn to play classical and popular songs.
Lessons are offered in 30-minute sessions on Wednesday afternoons and
early evenings. For the student's convenience, class times will be arranged
between the instructor and the student. The instructor will inform students
and parents of books required, which can be purchased through a local
music store. Once lessons begin, the Park District cannot offer refunds or
make-ups for missed classes. Call (630) 620-7322 to schedule a session.

ART HISTORY & EMULATION
(Ages 18+)
Each week there will be an overview of an artist or art movement, and then
students will create a piece of artwork that emulates the style of what we
have studied. Artists and movements that will be studied are Impressionism,
Surrealism, Renaissance, Georgia O'Keefe, Toulouse Lautrec, and Norman
Rockwell. Materials used will include: watercolors, acrylics, pencils, charcoal,
and pastels. All materials will be provided, with the exception of paint brushes.
Students will need to purchase an assortment of both watercolor and acrylic
brushes.

OIL PAINTING
(Ages 18+)
Join us in a relaxing atmosphere with oil painting in an open studio
environment. A still life will be set up to paint from, or you may use your own
photographs or other references. An instructor will be available for questions
and support. Please bring your own brushes-all other materials are provided.
Class will not meet on: 06/24.

SKETCHING AND DRAWING
(Ages 18+)
Students will be drawing with both pencils and charcoal. This class will focus
on technique, lighting and shading, composition, perspective, and proportion.
The subject will change each week, ranging from still life, portraits, building
interiors, landscapes, as well as some free time each class to draw whatever
you like. Students will need a sketch book and a set of pencils with different
hardness grades. All other materials will be provided.

OPEN STUDIO FUN DROP-IN
(Ages 7-18)
Enjoy the artistic camaraderie and come visit us for an art get-together! Bring
