Add Lombard Park District programs and events to your calendar this season. We're offering new youth and teen programs such as Wizards Cooking, Chocolate Chemistry, and Halloween Potions; visit page 44 for details. Be sure to check out a variety of fine art (page 30) and music classes (page 33). There are also many options for youth and adult athletics. Register for Youth Basketball leagues by November 9 to save $25 off your registration fees. Fall Fest, a family event held on October 3 from 1:00-4:00 pm in Lombard Common, is a great opportunity to participate in autumn activities. Each child will have the opportunity to pick a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch, participate in a decorating contest, jump in a bounce house, ride a hay wagon, eat corn on the cob, and much more! Visit page 7 for more details. Western Acres Golf Course is a par nine course with gently sloping greens, sand and water hazards, and a unique experience for golfers of all ability levels. To book a tee time, visit www.westernacres.com. Western Acres is hosting a new event called Beers & Birdies on September 19 from 4:30-8:30 pm. The event will feature 18 craft beers from six breweries in Illinois, Michigan, and Wisconsin all while playing nine holes of golf. For additional information, visit page 7. FootGolf, a combination of soccer and golf played with a soccer ball, continues to grow in popularity and is offered during the last tee time of the evening. For rates and information, visit page 13. Paradise Bay Water Park will be open through Labor Day, Monday, September 7. For rates and hours visit page 14. Swim Camp, a one-week skills training camp, will be held during the first two weeks of August. National Night Out, an event held in conjunction with the Village of Lombard is scheduled for Tuesday, August 4 from 6:30-9:30 pm and will offer free swimming, safety demonstrations, giveaways, and more.
