23 YOUTH BASKETBALL (Grades K-8) Participants will learn basic skills and enjoy the fun and competition of weekly games. Games will be approximately one hour. Grades K-2 will have both practices and games on Saturdays (8 weeks total). Teams grades 3 and higher will play a nine game season on weekends and will have a one-hour practice one evening per week at a local school gym, day and time chosen by their coach. Please see the Team Formation Guidelines online. Volunteer Coaches are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to secure a team for the season. Grab some friends and organize a team. Players in this basketball league will practice once weekly and play games on Sunday afternoons. Teams will play eight regular season games and participate in a season-ending tournament. Leagues will be combined if minimums are not met. Game jerseys will be provided to each participant prior to the first game. Players who play for their High School Basketball Team cannot play due to I.H.S.A. rules. All players must be in high school during the 2016-17 season. Requests for teams, players, or coaches will not be guaranteed. Each participant must purchase a game jersey for $18 at SKRC. Anyone who registers after the 12/12 deadline will be placed on a waitlist without a guaranteed spot. Any withdrawals after 01/02 are subject to a $10 processing fee. A pro-rated refund may be granted only within the first two scheduled weeks. Requests for teams, players, or coaches will not be guaranteed. Teams will be formed using the Team Formation Guidelines. Leagues may be combined based on enrollment.
