32 Fine Art YOUTH DRAWING (Ages 7-12) The students in this class will study line, shape, contour, gestures, perspective, composition, and use different types of drawing materials. There will be an emphasis on individual exploration, discovering and developing uniqueness of interpretation and expression. We will explore different techniques (i.e. wet on wet vs. wet on dry and use of salt). All student levels are welcomed and students are encouraged to come to class with proposed projects and questions. Basic supplies are included. This class will focus on technique, lighting, shading, composition, perspective, and proportion. The subject will change each week, ranging from still life, portraits, building interiors, landscapes, as well as some free time each class to draw whatever you like. Students will need a sketch book and a set of pencils with different hardness grades. All other materials will be provided.
