CALLIGRAPHY
(Ages 17+)
Haven't you always wanted to learn this beautiful writing? Your instructor
has experience teaching calligraphy and has designed a basic course
using dip pen and ink. Students will learn the classic 15th Century Italic
alphabet, together with design application, photocopy techniques, and
special projects like greeting cards and poems. Supplies can be purchased
from the instructor on the first night of class for $15.

CHICAGO CHRISTMAS LIGHTS

See the spectacular Chicago Christmas Lights. Visit the Christkindlmarket
at Daley Plaza to shop for holiday crafts. See and hear the magic of the
holidays come alive at Navy Pier. See the beautiful decorations, while
yuletide music fills the air. Enjoy a late lunch/dinner at Lawry's The
Prime Rib, a Chicago restaurant legend. The restaurant, which is in the
old McCormick Mansion, is magnificently decorated for the holidays,
affording an unforgettable dining experience. Later enjoy a narrated
guided tour of the breathtaking Christmas Lights and the Magnificent
Mile Lights Festival along Michigan Avenue. No refunds after 11/22.

CHINATOWN EXPLORER
(Ages 18 +)
With its architecture, food, and stores, Chinatown offers a unique
experience! We will join a local Chinatown guide who will take us behind
the scenes to experience this fantastic neighborhood. On our tour
see the Chinatown Gate, Nine Dragon Wall, the Landmark On-Leong
Merchants Association (Pui Tak Center), Chinese Buddhist Temple, St.
Therese Catholic Church, Chinese Zodiac Square, Chinese Marble Lions,
Four Greatest Inventions of Ancient Chinese, and the Chinatown Mural.
After our tour enjoy a fabulous lunch at Lao You Ju restaurant, owned
by celebrity chef Tony. Afterwards, enjoy some free time to shop on
Wentworth Ave. to visit the bakeries, gift stores, teahouses and candy
stores! Wear comfortable footwear! No refunds after 09/03.
