RoboThink offers academically oriented STEM programs focusing on robotics and coding for budding, intermediate, and/or advanced students. We are aligned with Next Gen Science standards and allow students to be hands on and engaged in problem solving formulation and solving through design. Armed with motors, sensors, gears and mainboards, students build and code robot creations of all shapes, sizes, and functions. Each session, students are introduced to engineering and coding concepts through our trained instructors and STEM workbooks. No experience is required, there are different curricula for different experience levels. ROBOTHINK DC MOTOR WORKSHOP (Ages 5-12) Students will be introduced to how a DC motor works and will build and modify moving robots using those motors. Learn the fundamentals of how an electric motor works by building an electric robot model such as a two wheeled car in this fun and exciting workshop. No prior experience required. Our lesson plans are built around RoboThink's proprietary kits, plans and STEM curriculum, designed by teachers and engineers. The activities are interactive, hands-on and engaging to promote learning in a fun way! Learn how to use RoboThink's innovative robotics pieces, motors, switches, axles and gears to build robot models of all sizes, shapes, and functions. Towards the end of the workshop, each team will be battling their robots in a battle royale. The team with the last fully intact robot wins! As they enjoy the fun of building, students will understand the basic working principles of many ingenious devices that are part of our everyday lives. Students will use our proprietary kits and step-by-step model plans to construct motorized moving models! Our exciting one-of-a-kind models incorporate beams, gears, axles, motors, battery packs and other technic LEGO® components.
