composition, and use of different types of drawing materials. There will be an
emphasis on individual exploration.

Youth Pottery introduces kids to pottery basics like hand building, coil, pinch pot,
slab and forming techniques and glazing techniques. Students will complete four
glazed projects demonstrating their new skills.

FAIRY & GNOME HOMES
(Ages 9-14)
Students with previous pottery experience will hand-build a whimsical fairy and
Gnome house for gardens and flower beds. Tiny homes need tiny accessories
so big imaginations will be needed! Students will also gain some introductory

ADULT DRAWING
(Ages 17+)
Students will learn how to draw with a variety of mediums in this class, including:
pencil, charcoal, ink, and colored pencils. Classes will focus on techniques such as
lighting and shading, composition, perspective and proportion. Subject matter
will change each week, ranging from still life, landscapes and interiors. Students
will need a sketchbook as well as a set of pencils with different hardness grades.
All other materials will be provided.

(Ages 16+)
This introductory class will teach students how to hand-build with clay. Students
will learn pottery basics like coil, pinch pot, slab, and forming techniques will be
taught. Students will gain knowledge of clay handling, storage, and firing. Every
participant will complete four glazed projects demonstrating their new ceramic
skills. Creativity is encouraged to personalize each piece! No previous ceramics
experience required!

ADVANCED ADULT POTTERY
(Ages 21+)
Adult Pottery is an open studio setting for individuals with previous pottery
experience. Students will have an opportunity to work on the wheel, and hand
build to create their own unique pieces complete with a variety of glazing
techniques. Space is limited so please sign up soon. There is an optional extra
hour of class each day for those looking for more studio time. Please make sure
to register for the additional hour if you will be utilizing it.
