This American Red Cross course teaches skills children should know (i.e.: answering phones, doors, etc.) Register early; space is limited. RoboThink offers academically oriented STEM programs focusing on robotics and coding for budding, intermediate, and/or advanced students. We are aligned with Next Gen Science standards and allow students to be hands on and engaged in problem solving formulation and solving through design. Armed with motors, sensors, gears and mainboards, students build and code robot creations of all shapes, sizes, and functions. Each session, students are introduced to engineering and coding concepts through our trained instructors and STEM workbooks. No prior experience is required, there are different curricula to adjust for different experience levels. SOCCER BOT WORKSHOP (Ages 8-11) Build a robot and play an exciting game of robot soccer in this soccer bot workshop! No prior experience required. Our lesson plans are built around RoboThink's proprietary kits, plans and STEM curriculum, designed by teachers and engineers. The activities are interactive, hands-on and engaging to promote learning in a fun way! Each class will consist of a fun interactive teaching period and guided practice time. Both new and returning participants will get to the next level under the guidance of an experienced Chess Scholars coach. Children will have the opportunity to test for a Chess Belt under a unique Chess Scholars system patterned after martial arts belts. There will also be a chess competition with prizes at the end of the session!
