Your instructor has experience teaching calligraphy and has designed a basic course using dip pen and ink. Students will learn the classic 15th Century Italic alphabet, together with design application, photocopy techniques, and special projects like greeting cards and poems. Enjoy a late lunch/dinner at Lawry's The Prime Rib. The restaurant, in the old McCormick Mansion, is magnificently decorated for the holidays. Later, enjoy a narrated guided tour of the breathtaking Christmas Lights and the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival along Michigan Avenue. While on the cruise, hear the narration of the legend of Chief Black Hawk. See the bluffs in Lowden State Park and the 50-foot Black Hawk Statue. A minimum of 20 participants is needed by 09/16.
