page 62 group fitness ZUMBA SIT & GET FIT! (Ages 15 +) Zumba is a Latin and international dance-inspired cardio fitness exercise which combines high energy and motivating music with unique moves. This aerobic/ fitness interval training combines fast and slow rhythms with dance inspired exercises to tone and sculpt your body, top to bottom. Zumba is based on the principle that a workout should be fun and easy to do. You don't have to know how to dance to Zumba. It's a "Feel Happy" workout! Class Will Not Meet On: 07/04 Instructor: Julie Wilks Location: Lombard Community Building (Ages 15 +) An innovative "sit down" exercise class for the beginner to exercise or the participants with limited range of motion. This full aerobic workout begins with a blend of yoga stretches and gradually progresses to more accelerated and isometric types of movements. Most movements are performed while seated and all movements can be adjusted to all ability levels. You will receive a $38 discount if you register for both classes. Research continues to support the belief that this type of workout is better for your body due to the constant changes from cardio to strength and from fast to faster and then to slow. All four main components of fitness will be addressed: strength, cardio (speed), balance (core) and flexibility. A variety of equipment will be used in easy to follow, cardio segments of aerobics, cardio kickboxing or step.
