page 47 fine art YOUTH DRAWING (Ages 7-12) The students in this class will study line, shape, contour, gestures, perspective and composition, and use of different types of drawing materials. There will be an emphasis on individual exploration, discovering and developing uniqueness of interpretation and expression. Join our Oil Painting class and learn how to stretch and prime your own canvas, learn basic techniques and learn how to get started with your masterpiece. Students will be able to create a painting based on pictures brought from home, ideas that you may have, or still life that will be provided. Supplies are included with this class. Sign up for our new Duck Tape Art class where students will be able to create a bouquet of flowers, wallets, and book bags, and then work up to a project more challenging such as a 3D sculpture. In the multi-session workshop, participants will explore watercolors in a new way. The instructor will guide you through a step-by-step process and give you helpful hints along the way. We will try different techniques each session to create unique pieces. Smocks will be provided.
