VOLLEYBALL SKILLS & DRILLS
(Ages 6-14)
Volleykidz (Ages 6-9): Volleykidz is an introductory class for children grades 1-3.
The lesson plan introduces the pass, set and spike using a very light volleyball.
Volley Performance (Ages 11-15): Improve your vertical with 40 minutes of
Volley Performance training with the final 20 minutes of spiking drills from the
left, middle and right side of the court. Learning to spike transition sets from the
10-foot line is introduced. Class drills keep players focused on reach and power
while plyometric training enhances vertical jump and game performance.
Junior EVP Volleyball Skills & Drills (Ages 10-14): Improve your volleyball
skills in this 90-minute session featuring drills for setting, passing, overhand
serving and spiking. Instructors organize games at the end of each class.
Volley Series Match Play (Ages 11-15): Interested in playing volleyball with
other athletes to compete against other local clubs? Our volleyball professionals
will assemble teams and bring parity to weekly instruction in order to prepare
for bi-monthly matches. Match play events are typically held on Sundays from
2:00 - 5:00 pm at various nearby locations. Coaches will guide players in weekly
trainings for 90 minutes. At practice, teams will learn defensive and offensive
positions while they improve on the fundamentals of passing, setting, spiking
and overhand serving.

LITTLE KICKERS SOCCER
(Age 3 and a parent)
Is your little soccer enthusiast not quite old enough for our Youth Soccer
League? Little Kickers allows them to experience the thrill of soccer! This class
will focus primarily on age-appropriate games to help acclimate your young one
to soccer by teaching them the basics. Many of the activities will involve both the
child and parent. All participants will receive a t-shirt. A parent must be present
for this activity. Required Items: comfortable clothes, water bottle and a parent.
Activity involves both the child and parent.

FALL GIRLS SOFTBALL LEAGUE
(Grades 3-8)
Lombard Park District offers an extensive girls youth softball program
including instruction for all ages and skill levels. The primary goal is to create
an opportunity for fundamental skills development in a positive, supportive,
friendly, safe and fun environment. Coaches will determine all practice times.
The park district reserves the right to combine age levels if necessary.

GIRLS TRAVEL SOFTBALL TRYOUTS
(Various Age Groups)
The Lombard Thunder part-time and full-time travel softball program offers
girls an opportunity to compete at a higher level softball program. The program
includes indoor practices starting in January, outdoor practices starting in
April and more depending on field availability. Uniform and helmet will be at
an additional cost. All player birth dates must be January 1, 2010 or younger
for 10U, January 1, 2008 or younger for 12U, and January 1, 2006 or younger
