Summary of Priorities from Focus Group III
Community Input - User Survey
Finally, to add a statistically-valid, public input data set to the plan, a phone- and
mail-based survey was conducted to understand the community's perception of
the Lombard Park District and identify the resident's top priorities. There were
questions on full range of usage, customer satisfaction, and priority issues. The survey
was advertised on the District's web site, in newspaper articles, and delivered to all
residents within their program guide. Hardcopy versions of the survey were also
made available at the Park District Administrative offi ce and were mailed to those
inquiring, upon request.
The Community Survey template and responses in their entirety are located in
the Appendix. The goal of the survey was to receive 400 completed surveys. 402
responses were received. Survey participation was requested from each household.
The response provided +/- 5% margin of error with a 95% confi dence rating which is
typical for this type of survey tool.
