Lombard 788 Actual Population Served Demographics Methodology Demographic data used for the analysis was obtained from Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc. (ESRI), the largest research and development organization dedicated to Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and specializing in population projections and market trends. All data was acquired in November 2012, and refl ects actual numbers as reported in the 2010 US Bureau of the Census and demographic projections for 2011 and 2016 as estimated by ESRI. The Village of Lombard was utilized as the demographic analysis boundary. Actual Population Served The Lombard Park District itself has an estimated 39,505 people living within it's boundaries (shown in tan). The unincorporated area of Lombard located shown in orange in the map to the right has a total of 788. It is assumed that those residents living in unincorporated Lombard use park district facilities as they are not included in any other park district and are completely enclosed by park district annexed properties. By combining unincorporated Lombard residents with those living within the park district, the total population served by the Lombard Park District equals 40,293. Population Summary Based on the 2010 census, the population for the Village of Lombard is 43,165 with an average household income of $82,240 and a median home value estimated at $218,878. The age of the population is relatively well balanced with about 6.0% pre-school age (0-4), 17.8% school age (5-19), 14.3% beyond retirement age (65+), and the remainder between the ages of 20-64. The primary ethnicity is Caucasian (80.7%) with heritage infl uences of German, English, Polish, Irish, and Italian.
