Learn to read music and play tunes! Brought to you by AES and The Music Path Company, this amazing program
teaches young students the beginnings of music. Using specialized, proprietary MusicStart keyboards, students learn
to play familiar tunes in a group setting by color, letter and note-matching while using problem solving strategies
without sacrificing any important musical knowledge. Prepare students to pick up any musical instrument by giving
them a solid foundation in this exciting program!

Piano & Flute Instruction
(Ages 7-17)
Private piano lessons are a great way to enhance a players skills. Each lesson will be tailored to the individual student's
needs. The books that are needed will be determined based on the student's musical knowledge and playing ability.
Beginner to intermediate players. Private flute lessons are a great way to enhance players skills. Each session will be
tailored to the individual student's needs. Lessons are offered in 30-minute time slots (hour lessons are available upon
request) on Saturdays. The books that are needed will be determined based on the student's musical knowledge and
playing ability. The lessons will include how to properly warm up, technique studies, IMEA preparation for junior high
and high school students interested in auditioning as well as preparing standard flute solo repertoire. Levels range

Tot Rock (Ages 12 mos-2 yrs and a parent):
Lombard Park District partners with Rock 'n' Kids
Inc. to offer introductory music and movement
classes with a large sensory component. Tots will
use handheld rhythm instruments and play props
to improve their motor skills, coordination and
learn new songs and rhymes. While kickstarting
your tot's imagination, each class will provide
structured and unstructured time to explore. A
different educational theme will be presented
each session. Much more than a music class, join
us to sing, dance, learn and play the Tot Rock way!
Kid Rock I (Ages 2-3 with a parent) & Kid
Rock II (Ages 3-5 yrs without a parent): Kid
Rock classes include creative, energetic activities
based on a new educational theme each session.
Children learn new songs, rhymes and gross
motor skills while using rhythm instruments and
movement props. Participants' listening skills
will develop, while fine motor and coordination
improve through imaginative play and sensory
