In After School Amigos Spanish club, children will learn numbers, colors, shapes, greetings, days of the week and more. We will be singing, clapping, and counting our way towards learning the Spanish Language. Each child will receive a participation award. Instructor: After School Enrichment Solutions Location: Iowa Community Center Code Day Date Time R/NR Fee 407112-01 F 02/04 - 03/11 6:00 - 7:00 pm $105/$115 FIRST AID & CPR (Ages 12+) Learn to recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac and breathing emer- gencies, and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, head and cold. The online portion of class must be completed before class and serves as a two-year certification. The course fee includes online access to a digital version of the manual and a refresher course. All participants will learn cool new strategies at the appropriate level from an experienced Chess Scholars coach. Each class will consist of fun, interactive teaching and guided practice time. Children will have the opportunity to test for a chess belt under a unique Chess Scholars system patterned after martial arts belts. There will also be a chess competition with prizes at the end of the session! Instructor: Chess Scholars Location: Sunset Knoll Recreation Center Code Day Date Time R/NR Fee 407105-01 Sa 02/05 - 03/12 11:00 am - 12:00 pm $98/$108 CHESS SCHOLARS SPRING BREAK CAMP (Ages 5-12) This camp is designed for both beginners and experienced young players. All participants will learn cool new strategies at the appropriate level from a renowned Chess Scholars coach. Each class will consist of a fun interactive teaching period and guided practice time. Children will have an opportunity to test for a chess belt under a unique Chess Scholars system patterned after martial arts belts. There will also be a chess competition with prizes! Each camper will take home a chess set and an award. Please bring your own snacks.
