Are you looking for something fun and exciting for your child to do this summer? Make your child's summer a fun, safe and memorable one by signing them up with Lombard Park District's Summer Day Camp. Days will be filled with field trips, swimming, games, sports, art projects and new friendships. From ages 6-15, there's a camp for everyone! Sign up for a few days, a week or the whole summer! Call (630) 620-7322 for more information. Drop-off and pick-up will be held at the playground located off of Grace Street. PICK YOUR DAY: Pick Your Day Option (PYD): PYD registration is available for all days throughout the summer. Registration is available online or at Sunset Knoll Recreation Center and must be completed the Wednesday the week prior. Please note: field trip days increase in price, if chosen. If a parent/guardian needs to switch days during the week, they must visit the Sunset Knoll Recreation Center to make the change. An email or phone call will not be accepted. You must bring your receipt or proof of the switch to the Supervisor prior to drop-off. Campers will recieve one t-shirt for the entire summer. CAMPER INFORMATION FORMS: Lombard Park District Day Camp utilizes ePACT, an online system for parents and guardians to submit emergency information forms. ePACT is a secure emergency network, that will be used to collect medical and emergency contact information electronically. Not only will ePACT replace paper forms, but it will also ensure we have a way to communicate with you in the event of illness, injury, or larger scale emergency. The parent/guardian listed as the main contact will receive an email, following registration, with directions and a link to complete all required forms through the ePACT Network. The ePACT information must be completed before your child's first day of Day Camp. POOL DAYS: Day Camp will swim on Monday afternoons, Thursday afternoons, and Friday mornings. On morning swim days, please send your camper to camp in their swimsuit so that we can get to the pool quickly. On afternoon swim days please pack your camper's swim gear in their backpack. They will be able to change after lunch, before going to the pool. For the safety of your child, parents are asked to indicate their camper's swim level and area of the pool they are allowed in. Campers are then given color-coded wristbands that indicate where in the pool they are allowed. Swim level indication can be found in ePACT when filling out your child's emergency information. Any child listed as a yellow or green wristband will be swim tested their first day to ensure their swimming ability is correct. A swim test consists of swimming one length of the pool without touching the bottom or utilizing the sides. Wristband Color Designations: Red: Non-swimmer or novice, only allowed in the zero-depth up to the whirlpool. Yellow: Intermediate swimmer, allowed in Dolphin Cove lap pool, Sidewinder and Pipeline (slides with a significant currenct upon exiting). Green: Advanced swimmers, allowed in all areas of the pool including the diving well, and Wipeout (bowl slide which drops into deep water). FIELD TRIPS: Day Camp will have an on-site or off-site field trip every Wednesday and all campers attending on a Wednesday must go on the field trip. Campers must be at camp by 9:00 am on off-site field trip days. Field trip permission slips will be accessible on our ePACT system and need to be completed prior to the camper's first day of camp. If additional waivers are required for certain field trips, they will be made available on site. SUNRISE AND SUNSET CAMP: Sunrise and Sunset Camp is for campers who need to be dropped off or picked up outside of the normal 9:00 am - 4:00 pm camp hours. Sunrise Camp begins as early as 7:00 am and Sunset Camp stays open as late as 6:00 pm.
