LYRICAL CONTEMPORARY
DRESS CODE
Appropriate dance attire is required for all dance classes. No jeans, dresses,
sandals, or street shoes are allowed. All dancers must wear dance shoes to
class, black jazz shoes required for all hip hop, pom dance, and jazz classes,
black tap shoes are required for tap classes, and black ballet shoes are
required for all ballet and pre ballet classes.
2014 DANCE RECITAL
We look forward to enjoying the performances by the dance students in
the annual recital held in February, 2014. To perform in the recital, students
must enroll in two consecutive sessions of the same style of dance class beginning with the Fall 2013 session and continuing through session I of Winter
2014. Mandatory dress rehearsal will be held the Friday evening before the
recital. Only students who wish to perform in the recital may register for session I of Winter 2014. Lombard Park District reminds students and parents
that each dancer is responsible for the purchase of his/her costume and that
the park district cannot issue a refund for costumes after they have been
ordered. For more information on dance classes or the annual recital, please
call (630) 620-7322. All youth dance classes will be performing in the dance
show, with the exception of Twirling Toddlers.
HIP HOP
(Ages 5-15)
Learn the latest funky craze in hip hop steps as we jam to the latest trendy
music! In this class we will learn the techniques of Street Dance. Be sure to wear
comfortable clothes. The instructor reserves the right to place each participant
according to his/her level.

BALLROOM DANCE - INTRODUCTION
(Ages 18 +)
A great class for fun! This Ballroom Medley class is perfect to learn all the popular
new and old dances! Get ready for your wedding or someone else's and be able
to join in the fun! Learn the waltz, fox trot, swing and more!

YOUTH BALLET
(Ages 5-10)
In this class, instructors make a classical art form both easy and fun. Children
learn the kind of fundamentals they'll need to progress in other forms of dance in
a class that combines barre work, centre work, foot work and corner work. Ballet
shoes required.
