APPROPRIATE ATTIRE
Appropriate dance attire is required for all
dance classes. Jeans, dresses, sandals or street
shoes will not be permitted. All dancers must
wear the following dance shoes to class: black
jazz shoes for all hip hop and pom/jazz classes,
black tap shoes for all tap classes, and white or
pink ballet shoes for all pre-ballet, ballet and
lyrical/contemporary classes.

POMS COMPETITION SQUAD
(Ages 5-14)
Calling all dancers! The Lombard Poms Team is looking for energetic & talented
kids who would love to dance, learn, and perform as a team while making new
friends. The Poms program consists of three competitive pom levels: Minis - Ages
5-8 (Grades K-2), Juniors - Ages 9-11 (Grades 3-5), and Seniors - Ages 12-14 (Grades
6-8). The team will learn skills such as kicks, turns, and jumps, and then use what
they learned to develop a routine. From March - May, the team will compete
against other park districts in 3 - 4 meets, held on Sundays. Commitment to the
squad includes the purchase of team uniforms and poms, and weekly attendance at
practices on Monday nights. Come check out the free introductory practice the first
week of the season (registration required). Please note: the information session will
be held September 26, 2022 6pm, at Sunset Knoll Recreation Center. Parents and
participants who are interested in finding out more about the program are strongly
encouraged to attend the information session.

INSPIRE DANCE TEAM
(Ages 5-14)
Join the award winning Inspire Dance Team! The team competes in local
competitions in the spring on Sundays, as well as performing in the annual
dance recital. Each team will practice twice a week, once for their routine as well
as taking a dance technique class. The dance technique class is exclusively for
Inspire Dance Team members. In addition to weekly practices, commitment to
the team includes the purchase of one costume and warm up jacket. A FREE
introductory class will be held on September 13.

Enjoy magnificent performances by Lombard Park District's dance students at the Annual
Dance Recital held in March 2023. To perform in the recital, students must enroll in two
consecutive sessions of the same style of dance beginning in Autumn 2022 and continuing
through Winter 2023. A mandatory dress rehearsal will be held the Friday prior to the show.
Only students who wish to perform in the recital may register for Winter 2023. Lombard Park
District reminds students and parents that each dancer is responsible for the purchase of his
or her costume and that the park district cannot issue refunds for costumes once they have
been ordered. All dance classes will perform in the dance recital with the exception of Twirling
Toddlers and Dance TeamTechnique. For more information on dance classes or the annual
