APPROPRIATE ATTIRE Appropriate dance attire is required for all dance classes. Jeans, dresses, sandals or street shoes will not be permitted. All dancers must wear the following dance shoes to class: black jazz shoes for all hip hop and pom/jazz classes, black tap shoes for all tap classes, and white or pink ballet shoes for all pre-ballet, ballet and lyrical/contemporary classes. ANNUAL DANCE RECITAL Date/Time: 03/04 at 11:00 am & 2:00 pm Location: Glenbard East High School Mandatory Rehearsal: 03/03 Enjoy magnificent performances by Lombard Park District's dance students at the Annual Dance Recital! In order to perform in the recital, students must have enrolled in two consecutive sessions of the same style of dance class beginning with an Autumn 2022 session and continuing through Winter 2023. Only recital students may register for Winter session classes. Please note: each dancer is responsible for the purchase of his or her costume. PROGRAM MANAGER PATTI PLOMB pplomb@lombardparks.com LOMBARD POMS COMPETITION TEAM (Ages 5-14) New enrollment for the 2022-23 squad is closed, but Fall 2022 returning participants should still register for this session. The Lombard Poms Team will be seeking new members in September 2023 for the 2023-24 season, with registration beginning in August. The team will learn skills such as kicks, turns and jumps, and then use what they learned to develop a routine. The team will have weekly practices September-May, and compete in 3-4 meets against other park districts on weekends from March-May. Commitment to the squad includes the purchase of team uniforms and poms, and attendance at practices on Monday nights. New enrollment for the 2022-23 squad is closed, but Fall 2022 returning participants should still register for this session. The team competes in local competitions in the spring on Sundays, as well as performing in the annual dance recital. Each team will practice twice a week, once for their routine as well as taking a dance technique class. The dance technique class is exclusively for Inspire Dance Team members. In addition to weekly practices, commitment to the team includes the purchase of one costume and warm up jacket.
