BABYSITTING TRAINING
(Ages 11+)
Learn about all the responsibilities of being a good babysitter and what to expect from
the person who hires you. Training will be provided in safety, safe play, basic care, first
aid, leadership and professionalism. Class includes a digital copy of the handbook,
review materials, certification card and a first aid kit. Please bring a lunch and snacks.

HOME ALONE
(Ages 7-12)
This American Red Cross course teaches skills children should know if they find
themselves alone (i.e.: answering phones, doors, etc.) Register early; space is limited.

MARVELOUS MAGIC
(Ages 5-12)
Children are guaranteed to have a great time as they learn a collection of fascinating
and mesmerizing tricks. Amaze family and friends with tricks that involve cards, ropes,
coins, mindreading, and more. While the tricks may appear difficult, you'll discover
that they are quick to learn and easy to perform. All materials are provided; each child
receives a magic kit to take home. Children are grouped by age and always learn tricks
that are age appropriate. New tricks are taught each session.

AMIGOS SPANISH CLUB
(Ages 5-10)
Learning Spanish is as easy as uno, dos, tres! In Afterschool Amigos Spanish Club,
children will learn numbers, colors, shapes, greetings, days of the week and more.
Students will be singing, clapping, and counting their way towards learning the
Spanish Language. Each child will receive a participation award.

CHESS SCHOLARS
(Ages 5-12)
No previous knowledge of chess is necessary: players of all levels are welcome. Each
class will consist of a fun interactive teaching period and guided practice time. Both
new and returning participants will get to the next level under the guidance of an
experienced Chess Scholars coach. Children will have the opportunity to test for a
Chess Belt under a unique Chess Scholars system patterned after martial arts belts.
There will also be a chess competition with prizes at the end of the session!

Join the Lombard Park District on days when school isn't in session! Participants will
enjoy games, crafts, and activities with friends. Each School Day Off will either have
an off-site or on-site field trip. Whether you are part of our Club Rec program, or just
want to spend time making new friends, this program welcomes everyone! Club Rec
participants, check out your special discount on our school day off programs! Please
note: registration must be completed 3 business days prior to the start of the program.
Registration after the deadline will be accepted if room allows, but will be subject to
a $10 late fee.
