FENCING
(Ages 8+)
Want to wield a sword? Enjoy competitive fun safely without "fighting". Please note:
the instructor considers height and ability of each fencer. Equipment is required.
Please speak with the fencing club at (630) 678-0035 to understand your options.
Register with family members or friends to increase the fun! Additional family
members receive a 50% discount when registering together.

LACROSSE SUMMER CAMP
(Ages 6-14)
Our fun and fast-paced camp is perfect for players of any level of skill or experience.
This camp is open to 1

- 8
th
graders, which will then be separated by age. Players
will be taught the foundational skills of lacrosse then will work to become confident
in their abilities. East Ave offers lacrosse equipment rental that is free for players.
Equipment requests must come in prior to the first day of camp, and must be
communicated to alek@eastavelacrosse.com as soon as possible. Players must
provide their own mouth guards and athletic footwear. Please note: all 1

graders playing must have US Lacrosse membership valid through the entire season.

SKYHAWKS SPORTS ACADEMY
(Ages 7-12)
Track & Field: The fundamentals of body positioning, stride, proper stretching
and cool-down techniques are taught. Track and field events include javelin, discus,
shot put, hurdles, long jump, triple jump and various running and relay events
(activities may vary by area).
Basketball Camp: This fun, skill-intensive program is designed for beginning
to intermediate players. Using our progression-based curriculum, we focus on the
whole player - teaching sportsmanship and teamwork. Boys and girls will learn the
fundamentals of passing, shooting, ball handling, rebounding and defense through
skill-based instruction and small-sided scrimmages.
STEM & Play: Soccer Camp: This program combines strategic STEM-based
activities with traditional Skyhawks soccer instruction and a focus on life skills such
as teamwork and sportsmanship. STEM Sports' soccer curriculum gives students the
opportunity to get behind the sport they love with modules on soccer ball design,
throw-in science, angles and goal-line technology! Participants will also learn the
fundamentals of passing, shooting, dribbling and defense through skill-based drills
and scrimmages. Skyhawks puts the Sports in STEM.
