give as a gift. Creativity and self-expression will be encouraged. Pieces will be fired
and ready for pick up by 12/18.

YOUTH POTTERY-SPOOKY GHOSTS
(Ages 10-13)
Participants will create a trio of ghosts with a variety of facial expressions. Add
colorful lights to make for a fun table centerpiece or mantle decoration. No
experience required, creativity encouraged!

GNOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS
(Ages 10-13)
Design your own special gnome with braids or beards using air dried clay. Add
texture, color and dazzling glitter. Students will sculpt their gnome in the first class,
then paint and finish it in the second class, just in time for the holidays.

YOUTH POTTERY WHEEL

Students will experience the entire process of throwing pottery from a lump of
clay to finished ceramic ware in this fun and challenging class. Choose from a large
selection of colorful glazes to complete your projects.

FINE ARTS
ADULT HAND BUILDING
(Ages 18+)
Introducing participants who are new to ceramics how to hand-build with clay.
Pottery basics including coil, pinch pot, slab and forming techniques will be taught.
Knowledge of clay handling basics will be gained as well. Students will complete up to
four glazed projects demonstrating their new ceramic skills. Creativity is encouraged
to personalize each piece!

ADULT WINTER POTTERY WORKSHOP-SNOW PEOPLE
(Ages 18+)
Participants will bring a snow person to life using varied hand-building techniques
including slab, modeling and texture. The final sculpture will stand approximately
9 inches tall, making it a beautiful gift, handmade centerpiece for the holidays or
simply a friend to keep you company through the dark winter with it's whimsical
personality. Individual decision-making, add-ons and glaze choices will make these
pieces personal and one-of-a-kind. Come take a cozy Friday night clay class with the
Lombard Park District, unwind and play! All levels welcome.
