28 WINTER 2024 PRE-TAP & JAZZ (Ages 4-5) Learn the basics of both tap and jazz in this class designed especially for preschoolers! Tap and jazz shoes required. Children must be toilet independent. Instructor: Arianna Robertson TAP & JAZZ (Ages 6-8) Learn the basics of both tap and jazz in this class designed especially for 6-8 year olds! Tap and jazz shoes required. Instructor: Arianna Robertson POM/JAZZ DANCE (Ages 6-11) Learn the basics of pom pon & jazz dance and have fun making up new routines and dances. Participants should bring pom pons to class and wear jazz shoes. Instructor: Rebecca Robertstad HIP HOP (Ages 5-11) Learn the latest funky craze in hip hop steps as we jam to the latest trendy music! In this class we will learn the techniques of street dance. Be sure to wear comfortable clothes. Instructor: Arianna Robertson FAIRY PRINCESS DANCE (Ages 4-6) Learn to dance like a fairy princess! Instructor will incorporate pre-ballet and creative movement techniques as we dance to our favorite princess music. In no time dancers will transform into one of their favorite princesses! Children must be toilet independent. Ballet shoes required. Instructor: Brooke Seymore (W), Arianna Robertson (Sa) LYRICAL CONTEMPORARY (Ages 5-14) Lyrical Contemporary I (Ages 5-6): Younger students will work on basic ballet and jazz technique and linking steps together in a final combination at the end of class. Lyrical Contemporary II (Ages 7-9): Students will continue to build on their ballet and jazz technique while being introduced to basic modern technique including floor work. They will also be working on the fundamentals of leaps and turns. Lyrical Contemporary III (Ages 10-14): Students will progress to more advanced ballet, jazz and modern technique as well as focusing on movement and performance quality. Instructor: Rebecca Robertstad TWIRLING TODDLERS (Ages 2-3 and a parent) Parents can join their tot in this new class where you will explore sound, imagination and movement to dance the class away! Ballet shoes required. Instructor: Arianna Robertson MOVIN' & SHAKIN' (Ages 3-4) Your preschooler will use imagination in this movement and dance class that also includes plenty of game-playing to keep them interested. Ballet shoes required. Children must be toilet independent. Instructor: Arianna Robertson, Lily Jacobson FAIRYTALE DANCE (Ages 3-4) This class introduces dance using ballet as a foundation, but also explores sound and movement. We will read a fairytale each week and through creative movement explore the story through dance. Ballet shoes are required. Children must be toilet independent. Instructor: Rebecca Robertstad PRE-BALLET (Ages 4-5) Pre-Ballet I (Ages 4-5): Little dancers are introduced to the structure of ballet class, ballet etiquette, basic terminology, feet and arm positions and musicality. These classes will incorporate props and dance games as well as develop each child's creativity and encourage self-expression. Pre-Ballet II (Age 5): This class is for students who have completed Pre-Ballet I, Fairy Princess Dance and for the 5 year old new to ballet. Students will build upon the basic structure of the ballet class, develop spatial awareness, work on posture, coordination, learn the foundation of barre work, continue progress with arms and feet positions as well as incorporate basic ballet technique in the center. Learn new skills and build on across the floor exercises. Instructor: Rebecca Robertstad (Tu: AM), Arianna Robertson (Sa) BALLET (Ages 5-14) Ballet I (Ages 5-8): This class will build upon the basic ballet technique learned in pre-ballet and/or Fairy Princess Dance. Emphasis will be placed on musicality, posture, patterns, stage directions, flexibility, terminology and linking steps together. Ballet II (Ages 9-14): This class expands on the ballet technique learned in Ballet I. Ballet II emphasizes feet, arm and body positions, correct body placement, preparation for turns, barre work, ballet stretching, musicality, memorizing ballet combinations and choreography, ballet etiquette and the advancement of classical ballet technique. Ballet III (Ages 9-14): This class expands on the ballet technique learned in Ballet II. Pre-requisite is one year of Ballet II or instructor approval.
