All materials are provided; each child receives a magic kit to take home. Children are grouped by age and always learn tricks that are age appropriate. New tricks are taught each session. Both beginner and experienced players are welcome and will learn under the guidance of an experienced Chess Scholars coach. Then teens will wrap up their afternoon with volunteering at Feed My Starving Children in Schaumburg. Additional activities, games and crafts will fill in the gaps throughout the day. The online portion of class must be completed before class and serves as a two-year certification. The course fee includes online access to a digital version of the manual and a refresher course.
