THE LEGEND OF STARVED ROCK
(Ages 55+)
Travel through the Illinois River Valley to visit Starved Rock State Park. Visit the
Illinois Waterway Visitor Center to see the Starved Rock Lock & Dam and exhibits
on the construction and operation of the Illinois Waterway. At Starved Rock State
Park, we board the Starved Rock Trolley for a narrated, guided tour of the park.
Learn the legend of Starved Rock and the Native American Indians who fought
and died atop it. Enjoy lunch at the historic Starved Rock Lodge. The historic
Lodge, built in the 1930s, features log walls and a two-sided stone fireplace and
overlooks the state park. There will also be free time to visit the gift shop and
Starved Rock Park Visitor's Center, home to a 400-gallon aquarium housing fish
indigenous to the Illinois River. Fee includes motorcoach transportation, lunch and
all tips. No refunds after 04/19.

LOVELY LAKE GENEVA ICE CREAM SOCIAL CRUISE
(Ages 53+)
Travel to the beautiful resort town once known as the "Newport of the West", Lake
Geneva, Wisconsin! Start with a delicious lunch at Gino's East Restaurant with its
wonderful view of Geneva Lake. Afterwards you will be dropped off at the historic
Riviera Dock where you will have some free time before our boat cruise. Explore
the town's shops or enjoy a lakeside stroll in the quaint resort village. The Riviera
Ballroom has been a landmark in downtown Lake Geneva since 1932. During the
Swing Era, the building played host to the Big Bands with the likes of Wayne King,
the Dorseys, Artie Shaw and Louis Armstrong. Today the Riviera houses shops in
the lower-level arcade and its lakeside dock where we will board Lake Geneva Cruise
Lines' enclosed Grand Belle for a relaxing cruise on the eastern edge of Geneva Bay.
During the narrated cruise, learn about the many elegant and historic estates that
dot the scenic shoreline. As a special treat, our cruise will also feature an ice cream
social! You will be served a delicious Breyers ice cream sundae prepared just the way
you like it as you enjoy the cruise! Fee includes motorcoach transportation, lunch,
cruise, ice cream and all tips. No refunds after 06/20.

INTRO TO SCENT WORK
(Ages 18+)
K9 Nose Work is a fun sport for both dogs and people which is based on the work
of professional detection dogs. In this class, owners and their dogs will learn to
work together to find specific odors. This helps dogs develop their natural ability
to sniff and problem-solve. Games encourage and fulfill a dog's need for play and
enrichment. This class is suitable for dogs of all ages and breeds. Dogs or puppies
that have shown aggressive behavior towards other dogs or humans are strictly
prohibited from attending.

DRIVER'S SAFETY PROGRAM
(Ages 55+)
AARP Smart Driver course teaches valuable defensive driving strategies and
provides a refresher of the rules of the road. Since 1979, the course has helped
more than 15 million drivers learn research-based tips to adapt their driving to
compensate for physical and cognitive changes that may occur with aging. Plus,
you may qualify for a multi-year automobile insurance discount by completing the
course (check with your auto insurance agent for details).
