Dear Residents, As winter approaches, it is a wonderful time to gather with family and friends to celebrate the holiday season and reflect on the past year. The Lombard Park District is excited to update you on the progress of the Southland OSLAD project, which is set to be completed in Spring 2025. This project will introduce new amenities, including pickleball and bocce courts, enhancements to our soccer and baseball fields, an inclusive play environment with ADA features, shelters, walking trails, and much more. We are also proud to share that we have received the Government Finance Officers Association's Distinguished Budget Presentation Award and the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting. We are excited to celebrate these achievements as we head into 2025. The Lombard Park District is gearing up for another festive winter season! Our team has been diligently preparing for the Jingle Bell Jubilee and Holiday Lights in Lilacia Park. Don't miss our annual tree lighting ceremony and Santa's arrival on December 7 at 5:30 pm. Enjoy an evening filled with singing, roaming characters, hot cocoa, and cookies! This FREE event is perfect for the whole family, so bundle up and join us for a night of fun! You can find a complete list of upcoming special events starting on page 6 of this guide. As we welcome the New Year, we encourage you to continue visiting all our facilities and parks. We have a variety of exercise programs and walking paths to keep your fitness routine at your level. The Madison Meadow Athletic Center has countless amenities; if you are unsure of what is right for you, visit with staff, and they will gladly assist you!
