56 SPRING 2025 DAY TRIPS "PLACE DE LA MUSIQUE" - THE SANFILIPPO MANSION (Ages 50+) A spectacular morning is in store for you in Barrington Hills on the 57-acre Sanfilippo Estate. Known as "Place de la Musique", Jasper Sanfilippo, the nut and snack food magnate known for his Fisher and Evan's nut products, spent over 30 years assembling one of the world's greatest collections of restored antique music machines. As you tour the incredible mansion, you will step into the Music Room, described by some as "unequaled in the world". See the world's largest theater pipe organ and marvel at the collection of chandeliers, Tiffany-style lamps, and phonographs. See the Weltre Wotan Brass Orchestrion, the largest known to exist.
