ADULT POTTERY
ADULT HAND BUILDING
(Ages 18+)
This introductory class will teach students how to hand-build with clay. Students
will learn pottery basics like coil, pinch pot, slab, and forming techniques. Every
participant will complete four glazed projects demonstrating their new ceramic
skills. Creativity is encouraged to personalize each piece. No previous ceramics
experience required.

BEGINNER ADULT WHEEL

Participants will experience the entire process of creating pottery on the wheel;
learning how to attach, center, pull, trim, and glaze their own creations with a wide
choice of colors.

SUMMER WHEEL SKILL BUILDER
(Ages 18+)
This pottery wheel class is for adults looking for practice time on the wheel.
Focus will be on skill building and fundamentals rather than completing projects.
Students participating in both the skill builder class and a regular weekly class will
have the opportunity to finish some pieces or may choose to have pieces finished
by the instructor for pick up at a later date.

CONTINUING ADULT WHEEL
(Ages 18+)
This wheel class is for those who have advanced past the beginners class and can
successfully attach/center 2-3 lbs of clay independently. Students will be able to
work independently on the wheel with instructor guidance. Previous beginner
class or instructor consent required to join the class.

POTTERY OPEN STUDIO
(Ages 18+)
This is an open studio setting for individuals with previous pottery experience.
Instructor consent to join the class is required. Students will have an opportunity
to work independently on the wheel and hand-building to create their own unique
pieces. Class includes all supplies: clay, tools, glaze, and electric kiln firing. Looking
for extra studio time? Sign up for the extended hour of class. Participants must
be enrolled in the two-hour class in order to register for the extra hour. Space is
limited so sign up early.
