56 AUTUMN 2025 DAY TRIPS TRIBUTE TO THE STARS - FRANK SINATRA (Ages 50+) Join the Lombard Park District as we head to Starved Rock to take a walk down memory lane with Starved Rock's Tribute to the Stars musical show. Peter Oprisko will delight you with this tribute to the Chairman of the Board, Frank Sinatra. A fresh and unique, ultra-modern salute to Ol' Blue Eyes, this exciting and memorable celebration showcases Sinatra like never before. Enjoy such hits as "New York, New York", "The Way You Look Tonight", "My Way", and many more. Relax and enjoy the show and buffet lunch in the historic ambiance of Starved Rock Lodge's Great Hall. Join us as we celebrate the season. We will start with a tradition going back more than 75 years as we visit the Museum of Science & Industry's Christmas Around the World and Holidays of Light. See the museum's grand 45-foot tree which graces the museum rotunda covered with more than 30,000 twinkling lights and surrounded by more than 50 smaller trees carefully decorated to represent countries and cultures from around the world. After a wonderful lunch at Weber Grill, visit the colorful Christkindlmarket, the enchanting holiday village at Daley Plaza. You can also visit Macy's State Street store, the former historic Marshall Field's store to see the traditional holiday windows, the famous Christmas Tree or shop for Frango Mints! Later, enjoy a narrated, guided tour of the breathtaking Christmas Lights including the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival along Michigan Avenue and the Chicago Christmas Tree and Skating Rink at Millennium Park. In this class, owners and their dogs will learn to work together to find specific odors. This helps dogs develop their natural ability to sniff and problem-solve. Games encourage and fulfill a dog's need for play and enrichment. This class is suitable for dogs of all ages and breeds. Dogs or puppies that have shown aggressive behavior towards other dogs or humans are strictly prohibited from attending. Your dog is required to be crated between turns and must be leashed at all times (a 6-10 foot leash is recommended and flexi leashes are not allowed). Please note: a vaccination record for rabies must be emailed to kmanheim@lombardparks.com, or a copy can be made at Sunset Knoll Recreation Center and must be turned in 48 hours prior to the start of the class. Each guest will create a custom 9oz soy candle using all-natural ingredients with fragrance blends of their choice. Each session will have different fragrances available so each candle will be unique to that workshop! Light snacks will be provided, and beverages will be available for purchase.
