CREATIVE WRITING CLUB
(Ages 5-12)
The Creative Writing Club, brought to you by Afterschool Enrichment Solutions, is
designed to ignite the imaginations of young writers, foster their love for language,
and cultivate their creative expression. Through exploration of classic literature,
inspiring writing exercises, creative language games, and collaboration, students
will explore different genres, learn, and practice grammatical concepts, develop
their writing skills, and build confidence in their ability to communicate effectively.

CHESS SCHOLARS
(Ages 5-12)
Develop your child's intellect through the royal game of chess! Current research
has shown a strong link between chess and academic performance in a variety
of areas, including mathematics and language arts. Chess has been proven to
enhance children's motivation, concentration, focus, social skills, and creativity.
Each class will consist of a fun, interactive teaching period, and guided practice
time. Both beginner and experienced players are welcome and will learn under the
guidance of an experienced Chess Scholars coach.

SLIME CAMP
(Ages 6-10)
Get ready to make all the slime you can dream of! This camp will dig deeper to
learn how slime is made and explore the many different types of slimes that exist.
Campers will create our own slime concoctions, as well as a variety of edible slime
options. Each slime camper will receive a slime recipe and a slime sample to take
home each day.

GIRL POWER CAMP
(Ages 6-10)
A camp just for girls! This camp will include relaxation tips, group games, sports,
craft projects, and local adventures. Each day will be filled with making new friends,
team building challenges, and lots of fun! Please bring outdoor weather gear (snow
pants, boots, jacket, hats, gloves) as we will venture outdoor to explore depending on
weather conditions.

SCHOOL DAY OFF

Join the Lombard Park District on days when school is not in session! Participants
will enjoy games, crafts, and activities with friends. Whether you are part of our Club
Rec program, or just want to spend time making new friends, this program welcomes
everyone! Please note: each child should bring a sack lunch and drink. Club Rec
