BASKETBALL
WINTER YOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUE
(Grades K-8)
The primary focus for the in-house basketball league is to promote fun, sportsmanship and to develop the player's basic skills. Grades K-2 will have eight weeks of both
practices and games, held on Saturdays. Grades 3 and up will play a nine-game season on weekends and participate in weekly practices held at a District 44 school for one
hour. Volunteer coaches will determine the day, time, and location of practices. Players may purchase jerseys from Sunset Knoll Recreation Center. Please note: teams
may be combined with local communities based on enrollment numbers. Please note: registration received after November 10 may result in your child not being placed
with a preferred classmate/friend or coach.

HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL LEAGUE
(Grades 9-12)
Invite your friends and organize a team to continue your basketball career through high school. Practices will take place once a week before games begin. Once games
begin, practices are on a request basis only. The league will play games on Sundays beginning January 11. Teams will play nine regular season games and participate in an
end of the season tournament. Game jerseys will be provided to each participant prior to the first game. Players who play for their high school basketball team cannot play
due to I.H.S.A. rules. All players MUST be in high school during the 2025-2026 season. Volunteer coaches are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to secure a team
for the season. Please note: registration received after November 17 may result in your child not being placed with a preferred classmate/friend or coach.
