ADULT LAP SWIM
(Ages 18+)
Dedicated lap lanes are available for adults only, Monday through Sunday from
11:00 am - 12:30 pm with pool pass or paid admission. Lap lanes will be available
during open swim hours. Lap swim will also be available Mondays, Tuesdays
and Thursdays 5:30 - 6:30 pm during evening programming with hours varying.
ADULT WATER WALKING
(Ages 18+)
Dedicated space is available for adults only, 11:00 am - 12:30 pm, Monday through
Sunday from with pool pass or paid admission.
ADULT DEEP WATER SWIM
(Ages 18+)
The dive well is available for adult passholders only, Monday through Sunday from
11:00 am - 12:00 pm and Monday through Friday from 7:00 - 8:00 am with pool pass.
PARENT & TOT SWIM TIME
(Ages 5 & under with a parent/guardian age 18+)
Parents and tots can enjoy the enclosed tot pool in the morning for unstructured
swim time, Monday through Saturday from 9:30 - 11:00 am with pool pass or daily
fee. Each program fee or pass includes admission for one adult and up to two tots.
Fee R/NR: $9/$11 per day
AGE GROUPS
Ages 8 & Under: Swimmers should be able
to swim one length of the pool freestyle and
backstroke continuously without assistance.
They will focus on building proper
technique in backstroke and freestyle, and
learning all four strokes, along with dives
and flip-turns. The more advanced 8 year
olds will also be encouraged to learn a
legal individual medley, as well as building
on their endurance. Each 8 & under will be
paired with a Waves Swim Buddy.
Ages 9-10: Swimmers will focus on
swimming all four competitive strokes
efficiently and legally. They all work toward
swimming a legal 100 individual medley
within the season. They will be working to
build endurance, perfecting their stroke
technique and starts and turns.
Ages 11-12: Swimmers will be building up
their training and endurance. Practices will
include technique work to improve their
strokes, turns and racing starts. They will
be placed by ability and will work toward
efficiently swimming 100 IM.
Ages 13-14 & 15+: Swimmers train together
and are grouped by ability. Athletes
entering this group must display a desire
to begin training on a more committed
basis. Training will have a greater emphasis
over technique work. Participants will write
goals, play games and each swimmer will be
given a Waves Swim Buddy to support and
cheer on at meets.
LOMBARD WAVES SWIM TEAM
Lombard Park District's Waves Swim Team offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ability
levels. The Waves' coaching staff focuses on building swimmer's skills, teamwork, enjoyment of the sport and
participation in competitive swimming. The team will challenge each swimmer and develop them to the best
of their abilities. Competitions include swim meets every week during the swim team summer season. Parent
volunteers will be required to work at home swim meets. Parents may sign up to volunteer through parent
meetings and online at the beginning of the season at lombardwaves.com. Team suits, goggles and swim caps
are required for the season. These items will be available for purchase prior to the start of the season. Please
note: Lombard Waves Swim Team is NOT a swim lesson program. 8 & under will compete in 25-yard events, as
well as the 50 freestyle and team relays. 9-15+ will compete in 50-yard events, as well as the 100 freestyle, 100
individual medley and team relays. Swimmers who are not yet ready to join Lombard Waves Swim Team should
consider enrolling in Lombard Swim School.

LOMBARD WAVES DIVE TEAM
Divers looking for exciting competition are invited to join the Lombard Dive Team. The team practices Monday,
Tuesday, and Thursday and participates in meets with the Swim Team during the summer. Please note: if you
register your child for the Swim and the Dive Team, you will be charged the full rate for swim team and receive
a $25 discount for the dive team.
