This exciting program from Afterschool Enrichment Solutions brings together
elements of science, art and math in a hands-on, action-packed environment! Students
will conduct experiments, play educational games, and unlock their creativity through
building challenges and projects. No experience necessary!

CHESS
(Ages 5-13)
Develop your child's intellect through the royal game of chess. Current research
has shown a strong link between chess and academic performance in a variety of
areas, including mathematics and language arts. Chess has been proven to enhance
children's motivation, concentration, focus, social skills, and creativity. Each class will
consist of fun, interactive teaching periods and guided practice time. Both beginner
and experienced players are welcome and will learn under the guidance of an
experienced Chess Scholars coach.

GIRL POWER CAMP
(Ages 6-11)
Winter is a great time to hang out with friends or meet new ones at our exciting
camp just for girls. This fun camp will enjoy a DIY spa day, craft time, and exploration
around Lombard. Each camper will also enjoy a Girl Power Camp Activity Book to
take home with them. This camp will use a Lombard Park District van for mini field
trips on Tuesday and Wednesday.

ICOOK: SUGAR AND SPICE | NEW!

Our chefs-in-training will learn how to make delicious and nutritious recipes inspired
by cuisine from Europe. Each class will focus on a new country and its unique
dishes. Students will enjoy pain de mais from France, wedding cookies from Greece,
gazpacho from Portugal, and so much more. Foundational cooking skills will be
taught, including proper techniques for measuring, mixing, slicing, dicing, and of
course, kitchen safety. We hope to see you in the kitchen this autumn! All ingredients
and supplies will be provided.

HOLIDAY SLIME CAMP

Enjoy a slimy good time at our holiday-themed slime camp! We will be making
scented slime, fluffy slime, floam, snow slime, and, of course, edible slime. Each
slime camper will receive sample slimes and a slime activity book with recipes and
directions to make all the fun slimes at home.

STEM WINTER CHALLENGE

Calling all building and challenge enthusiasts! Join us for this fun class filled with
challenges, including building a sled, making a snowball launcher, creating a snowflake
structure, and designing with Legos. Each participant will receive a challenge activity
book with winter-themed STEM activities.
