2014 DANCE RECITAL Saturday, February 22nd at Glenbard East High School {Mandatory Dress Rehearsal will be held Friday, February 21 at GEHS} To perform in the recital, students must have enrolled in two consecutive sessions of the same style of dance class beginning with the Fall 2013 session and continuing through session I of Winter 2014. No jeans, dresses, sandals, or street shoes are allowed. All dancers must wear dance shoes to class, black jazz shoes required for all hip hop, pom dance, and jazz classes, black tap shoes are required for tap classes, and black ballet shoes are required for all ballet and pre ballet classes. LYRICAL CONTEMPORARY (Ages 8-13) This class will consist of a blend of jazz, ballet, and modern as well as broadening technique and performance skills. Class will include elements such as freedom of expression, interpretation of music, principles of fall and recovery, control, breathing and balance.
