After this onesemester, the family enrolls in a mixed-age class. The music activities in a Babies class are specifically designed to teach parents how to support music development in infancy and how to connect with their infants through music, using concepts such as "purposeful touch, sound layering and dancing for baby". Babies class uses the same collection as mixed age and Big Kid classes, enabling a seamless transition for families and teachers between class programs. Tuition includes materials. No refunds issued after the first class. Tot Rock is an introductory music and movement class with a large sensory component. Each week we will use rhythm instruments like hand bells and maracas, play with props like a parachute and beanbags, and explore sensory items like bubbles and feathers. In addition to improving your tot's newly-acquired motor skills, each class provides structured and unstructured time to encourage socialization and stimulate your tot. Rhythm instruments and props used in class include maracas, tambourines, scarves, bean bags, parachute play and much more! New curriculum presented each session. Experience new songs, chants, free dances and instrumental jam sessions. Activities focus on adult/child interactions rather than child/child, so that homogeneous age groupings are not necessary. Fee includes an illustrated songbook, parent educational materials and two CD's of the music used in class. Each semester, a new and exciting song collection is introduced. Families who attend regularly for three years collect the complete set of nine Music Together® songbooks and recordings. Siblings under nine months are free! No refunds issued after the first class.
