LOMBARD WAVES PARENT ORGANIZATION
Swimming is a great sport and we are fortunate to have a great program here in
Lombard. Swim meets need a lot of people on deck to time, judge and score the
meet. We need all of our swim parents to support the swim team by volunteering
their time at swim meets and by working to raise money through team-supported
fund-raisers. We have a great group of parents and a lot of fun supporting our
team! Please contact Colette Luchetta-Stendel at colette@ameritech.net regarding
questions about registration, suits, parents' support, practices, or any other
concerns regarding Lombard Waves.

SWIM TEAM
(Grades 1 – 12)
The Swim Team offers competition and camaraderie for swimmers of all ability
levels. There is an eight week competitive season that begins at the beginning of
June and ends at the end of July. Blue and White Team members practices are
held five days a week in the morning (times are subject to change), Junior Swim
Team members practice three times a week also in the morning (times are subject
to change) and participate only in home meets. Meets are held on Wednesday
evenings and Saturday mornings.

BLUE TEAM: Geared toward the experienced competitive swimmer, age 11 and
older. Younger swimmers may be admitted with the coach's permission. Practices
emphasize advanced stroke mechanics.

WHITE TEAM: Focuses on swimming skills and competition for returning swimmers
(age 10 and younger). Team members age 8 and under must be able to swim one
lap of the pool without stopping. Members age 9 and older must be able to swim
two laps.

JUNIOR TEAM: Required for all new swimmers age 8 and under. Introduces basic
skills and competition to the beginning swimmer. Swim meet entries are limited.
Swimmers with advanced swimming techniques can be changed to the White group
upon coaches' discretion. Should a child be moved to the White group, regular
Swim Team fees will apply.

PARADISE
BAY
DIVE TEAM
(Grades 1 – 12)
Divers looking for exciting competition are invited to join the
Lombard Dive Team. The team practices Monday, Tuesday and
Thursday and participates in meets during the summer. Note: If
you register your child for the Swim and the Dive Team, you will
be charged the full rate for swim team and half the rate for the
dive team.
