23 PEE WEE SPORTSTERS (Ages 4-6) This class introduces 4-6 year olds to the fundamentals of soccer, floor hockey, T-ball and basketball. The emphasis is on the development of teamwork, sportsmanship and movement. Our goal is to teach boys and girls the enjoyment of playing for the sake of the sport itself. Group games and other individual sports are also included. Instructor: SportsKids, Inc. Age-appropriate sticks and softer balls will be used for safety. Children will learn skills including cradling, stick work, running, passing, shooting, and more. Boys and girls will learn the fundamentals and mechanics of floor hockey. The program will include stick handling, passing and shooting, as well as team drills. At the first hour of camp, participants will be using various mediums such as drawing and crafts to create art projects. The second hour will involve participation in drills and games in sports such as soccer, basketball, and baseball. Campers will then spend the remaining hour of the camp involved in music activities. Experienced instructors will teach them how to play the guitar by learning chords, scales, rhythm and tuning as well as the drums by learning exercises and beats. By putting music, sports, and art together, we will enhance social skills, further develop large and small motor abilities and, most importantly, have fun!
