ADULT & SENIOR ETHNIC CHICAGO (Ages 55 +) Come enjoy and explore Chicago's colorful Northside. From downtown Chicago, travel through trendy Wicker Park, up the Polish Corridor to the fascinating Irish-American Heritage Center where we learn the history, legend and lore of Chicago's Irish. Visit Devon Avenue, Chicago's "International Marketplace" where Jewish, Indian and South Asian cultures create a colorful street of shops and emporiums. Also tour Andersonville to learn of its Swedish traditions and visit the incredible Swedish bakery. After traveling through Uptown, we end our tour outside legendary Wrigley Field. Here we start off with a delicious lunch at Gino's East with its spectacular view of Geneva Lake. Afterward it's off to the historic Riviera Dock, home of the Riviera Ballroom, a major landmark in downtown Lake Geneva since 1932. During the Swing Era the building played host to the Big Bands with the likes of Wayne King, the Dorsey's, Artie Shaw and Louie Armstrong. Today, the Riviera houses shops in the lower level arcade, with the ballroom on the upper level and its lakeside dock. Here we'll board one of Lake Geneva Cruise Lines fabulous enclosed boats for a relaxing cruise on Geneva Bay. Enjoy an in-depth historical narration about the spectacular estates, mansions and natural scenery that line the shores of scenic Geneva Lake. See the beautiful decorations, while yuletide music fills the air. Enjoy a late lunch/dinner at Lawry's The Prime Rib, a Chicago restaurant legend.
