Call (630) 620-7322 for more information. LILAC TOWN SENIORS (Ages 55 & up) If you're a senior looking to meet new friends or renew old acquaintances, Lilac Town Seniors is the club for you! Founded in 1972 as a social organization, Lilac Town Seniors consists primarily of Lombard residents and always welcome new members. Monthly afternoon activities include BINGO and refreshments. Beginner: This introductory course will teach basic signs and phrases like "good job" or "you're welcome." Join us as a certified deaf education instructor teaches how to communicate with someone who is deaf or hard-of-hearing. Intermediate: If you want to increase your vocabulary by learning conversational skills and complex sentences, then don't miss out as a certified deaf education instructor takes you beyond the basics of sign language. Since 1979, the course has helped more than 15 million drivers learn research based tips to adapt their driving to compensate for physical and congnitive changes that may occur with aging. Plus, you may qualify for a multi-year automobile discount by completing the course. (Check with your auto insurance agent for details.) Receive a $5 discount when you present AARP card to instructor.
