This is your opportunity to not only learn sign language, but to communicate with it. Beginner: This introductory course will teach basic signs and phrases like "good job" or "you're welcome." Join us as a certified deaf education instructor teaches how to communicate with someone who is deaf or hard-of-hearing. Intermediate: Take your sign language abilities to a new level! If you want to increase your vocabulary by learning conversational skills and complex sentences, then don't miss out as a certified deaf education instructor takes you beyond the basics of sign language. The collection of gardens has been named one of the top 100 events in North America by the American Bus Association 5 years in a row! See many of the 19 gigantic quilt patterned gardens and 20 hand painted quilt art murals scattered throughout Elkhart County and the Amish area of Middlebury. A local step-on guide will join our group to take us on a colorful journey of over 115,000 flowering annuals that replicate contemporary quilt patterns. Learn about these innovative creations, the master gardeners, and the standards set to be a part of these attractions. During the day we make several great stops. Visit Wellfield Botanic Gardens, to see the fabulous 36-acres of gardens along with their annual quilt garden. In downtown Elkhart view the "Central Park Star" quilt garden. At Bonneyville Mill County Park, see Indiana's oldest grist mill, operating since the mid 1830's along with the parks quilt garden. In Bristol, a special, most interesting visit is planned at the County Museum. Enjoy a behind the scenes tour, "Stitches of Devotion," a hands-on quilt program. See the inspiration behind the quilt gardens as you examine the stories of these amazing quilts! Later in Middlebury, see the quilt gardens at the Essenhaus, and Dutch Country Market. Visit the magical world of Linton's Enchanted Gardens. This retail outlet is often called the Disney of Garden Centers!
