Winter 2016 Activity Guide | 17 DAY-OFF BASKETBALL CAMP (Ages 6-11) Come out & play with the 3-Point Athletics on your day off from school! Join us for a special one day camp to keep students active, productive, and having fun on a day they would typically be in school. The camp will include fun basketball activities and plenty of organized team play to create a fun-filled, action-packed day! Participants should bring water, athletic clothing and shoes, and a snack. Grab some friends and organize a team. Players in this basketball league will practice once weekly and play games on Sunday afternoons. Teams will play eight regular season games and participate in a season-ending tournament. Leagues will be combined if minimums are not met. Game jerseys will be provided to each participant prior to the first game. Players who play for their High School Basketball Team cannot play due to I.H.S.A. rules. All players MUST be in High School during the 2015-16 season. Requests for teams, players, or coaches will not be guaranteed. Volunteer coaches are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to secure a team for the season. The primary goal is to create an opportunity for fundamental skills development in a positive, supportive, friendly, safe and most importantly, fun environment for every player in each league. Coaches will determine all practice times. The Park District reserves the right to combine age levels if necessary.
