2015 Third Quarter Financial Report
This report is based on the financial reports that were run on September 30, 2015. The District is nine months into the 2015
budget year. Should you have any questions regarding these items, please call staff prior to the October 20 Board Meeting so
staff has time to investigate your concerns.
In order for the Park District to manage the community finances effectively, it divides various activities into several different
funds.
The Corporate Fund
Accounts for revenues and expenses that provide for basic operations of the District such as administration and parks.
Recreation Fund
Encompasses the activity for the Recreation Department, Paradise Bay Water Park, and Western Acres Golf Course.
The Capital Projects Fund
Collects revenues from bond issuances, grants, and community partnerships and allots them toward construction of major
capital expenses.
Special Recreation Fund
Accounts for activities restricted for providing services for individuals with special needs.
Bond and Interest Fund
Tracks the revenues and expenses related to repayment of long-term debt.
Nonmajor Funds
Include Liability, I.M.R.F., F.I.C.A., and Audit activity.
